About Arise

 

Arise, an initiative of Together for Sheffield,  is a growing movement seeking to see every person in Sheffield hear the Gospel in a way they can understand and respond to by 2033.

​

You could play a key role in helping Christians across Sheffield unite in prayer and mission.

​

Arise moves through four seasons, Arise:March (prayer walking), Arise:GO! (sharing the good news of Jesus with every home), Arise:Hallow (engaging at Halloween), and Arise:Advent, inviting churches and Christians across the city to work together in prayer and mission.

​

Behind the scenes, simple administration and organisation help make this possible. If you enjoy bringing order, helping things run smoothly and supporting people, this role gives you the opportunity to strengthen a city wide movement for prayer and mission.

The Arise Admin Volunteer supports the team with practical organisation and coordination that enables Arise projects, communications and networks like Arise Champions to flourish.

Your Role

 

As a volunteer, you will support the Arise team with practical administration that helps the movement run smoothly. This may include helping track projects, supporting communications, and keeping systems and information organised. You will help with:

​

Arise Project Administration:

• Tracking orders for Arise resources and initiatives

• Communicating with churches and individuals who have placed orders

• Helping ensure orders are fulfilled and received

• Supporting the invoicing process and helping track payments

• Updating spreadsheets and databases

• Organising shared folders and documents

• Keeping contact lists and information organised

• Helping track progress across different Arise projects

• Supporting the team in keeping project information organised

Arise Champion Volunteer Network Support:

• Supporting the Arise Champions volunteer network by keeping contact lists updated

• Assisting with communications to Champions

• Helping prepare materials for meetings or events 

• Supporting the organisation of Arise gatherings such as Champions meet ups, prayer events and training events

• Helping send invitations and track responses

• Helping keep systems and information clear and up to date

• Basic email coordination and follow ups

Who We Are Looking For

 

• Someone who is organised and reliable

• Comfortable with basic administration and willing to learn

• Able to work independently and communicate clearly

• Supportive of the vision of Arise

• Interested in helping Christians across Sheffield unite in prayer and mission

Support and Induction

​

• Induction will be provided by the Arise team

• Clear guidance will be given on tasks and expectations

• The role can be shaped around the volunteer’s strengths and availability
